About the event

Join Kirsteen Stewart for a social gathering and clothes swap in Kirkwall, Orkney. No tickets required for this event - simply show up and have a great time!

Kirsteen Stewart, Styling Talk at 2pm

Kirsteen will talk about her career in fashion to date, the changes in the industry and her love of making the most of what you've got as well as the possibilities of the circular economy for clothing. If you'd like to feel empowered by your wardrobe, or you are looking for ideas, inspiration and motivation then this talk is for you.

Megan Bain, Colours Talk at 11am

Trained designer, stylist and colourist, Megan discusses the power of colour and gives examples of how your skin tone hair and age is impacted by the colours you wear.

And more to look forward to...

  • Local businesses will be in attendance to show their sustainable ranges.
  • A mending station: bring your clothes back to life with the help of our expert seamstresses. Zips, hems, pulls and tears we can help you.
  • Learn to sew: have you ever fancied making your own items or altering the clothes you have to give you the best fit?
  • Learn to knit: we will show you how to get started, to cast on and off with lots of pieces to inspire you.

ABOUT KIRSTEEN STEWART

Award winning Designer Kirsteen Stewart started her business from the kitchen table in Orkney.  Initially with a range of hand printed accessories her business has evolved over the years and she also creates bold prints to empower women.  The pandemic saw a launch of an interiors range to enhance your home with colour and style. Quality and sustainability has always been at the heart of the business and making in the UK and teaching others to sew has been a passion throughout the growth of this business.
