EVENT FORMAT & ACCESSIBILITY

This event is being held in person only. Unfortunately the in-person venue is inaccessible for wheelchair users and has no hearing loop. If you have any mobility needs, please get in touch as there is potential for us to arrange a downstairs-only tour (a slightly different route). Please note the site is a working warehouse with loud noises so you may want to bring ear plugs.

The site is at Eurocentral, just off the M8. You can get there via bus to Maxim Park (5 mins walk) or Holytown (5 mins walk).

If you have any accessibility requirements, please email Liisa at sustainablefashionscotland@gmail.com and we will do our best to help.

ABOUT ACS CLOTHING

ACS Clothing is the EU's largest Circular Fashion Hub that offers brands and retailers expert fulfilment, order management, cleaning, repairs, and more. The company began as a highland and formal hire business in 1997 as one store in Glasgow. It has grown exponentially since and now operates from an 85,000 sq ft facility in North Lanarkshire, specialising in rental fulfilment and clothing renewal. ACS enables brands and retailers to introduce a rental or resale model alongside their existing ecommerce model.

Aligning with COP26, in 2021 ACS hosted ‘Reclothing the Future: my climate path’. This was a series of 8 conferences focusing on educating the younger generation on the value of clothing, sustainability, garment repair and reducing textile waste. The events took place onsite at ACS with over 500 school students from across Scotland.

ACS aspire to transform the fashion industry from the traditional linear take-make-dispose model towards a circular fashion model that extends the life of existing textiles and diverts clothing from landfill.

The SFS Spring Gathering is part-funded by Creative Scotland’s Open Fund, made possible with funds from The National Lottery and Scottish Government.
